The Hail Armour cover is designed specifically for Australia to protect your vehicle from hailstone damage. Areas fully protected include bonnet, guards, roof, boot and windows. 

The cover is not recommended for use as a permanent car cover. It is designed to protect from an imminent hail event.

Insurance Company text warnings

Install the cover when you see a hailstorm approaching or if you are warned by your insurance company of an imminent hail event. You have hail protection in approximately 4 minutes.

Note: Long extended usage of the cover can cause damage to the special TPU material. The 1-year warranty will not cover damage caused by long exposure.

Fitting Instructions - Hail Armour Car Cover

1. Fit the cover starting from the rear and extending toward the front of the vehicle. Ensure the cover is correctly, evenly, and firmly secured to the vehicle with the security straps attached to the cover. A two-person application would make the fitting of the cover easier.
2.  The cover will not be covered by warranty if it is fitted over sharp objects as this may cause damage.
3. Inflate each panel with the provided pump using the inlet plugs ”2” in each corner on top of the bonnet and 1 on each side panel.

Hail Armour Cover Development

Many tests were made with many materials before finding a strong, lightweight material suitable for purpose. 

The TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) material was found to be the best and most suitable for this application.

The electronically welding of the TPU material requires a specific electronic sawing machine. A specially built machine was necessary for this purpose. Each cover is made individually.

The two-way inflation valves are also specially produced for this Australian-designed product as the standard valves available would not hold inflation in the cover for the extended usage desired.

To keep costs down, the Hail Armour is produced overseas but is a 100% designed Australian Cover made for the severe hail conditions we encounter in Australia.
